A bo-yak prescription begins with a medical consultation: pulse and tongue examination, health history, current medications. The doctor then composes a formula — typically 10-20 herbs in individualized ratios — for your specific pattern. Two people with "fatigue" rarely receive the same formula.
How quality and safety are managed
Medicinal herbs in Korea are regulated separately from food-grade herbs, with testing for heavy metals, pesticides, and origin. At LIMDA, prescriptions are decocted at a licensed external herbal dispensary, prepared one patient at a time. Prescriptions are issued in 15-day units, so the doctor reviews how your body responds before continuing — nothing is sold in bulk.
