InBody 970 body composition test in Busan at limda k-medical clinic

You can get an InBody test in Busan in three kinds of places: district public health centers, gyms, and medical clinics. limda k-medical clinic (경희림다한의원) is a Korean medicine clinic next to Park Hyatt Busan in Marine City, Haeundae, where the InBody 970 is used as part of the consultation and the results are explained by the doctor in English.

limda k-medical clinic (경희림다한의원) is a 10-minute walk from Dongbaek Station (Busan Metro Line 2), and five measurements — pulse and constitution reading, body composition, EEG stress, and 3D facial analysis — take about 15 minutes.

limda k-medical clinic (경희림다한의원) is a ten-minute walk from Dongbaek Station on Busan Metro Line 2 and welcomes walk-ins. We are registered with Busan Metropolitan City as a medical institution for international patients.

Where to get an InBody test in Busan

  1. Gyms and fitness centers — most larger gyms have an InBody machine for members, often used at sign-up and every few weeks.
  2. Medical clinics — clinics that use body composition in treatment, where a doctor reads the result with you. This is how we use it.

If you want the numbers read by a doctor and turned into a plan, that is what a clinic visit adds.

What the numbers mean

  1. Skeletal muscle mass — the muscle you can train. It sets how much energy you burn at rest, and it is the number to protect during weight loss.
  2. Body fat mass and percent body fat — how much of your weight is fat. Two people at the same weight can differ widely here.
  3. Visceral fat level — fat around the organs in the abdomen. It can be high even in someone who looks slim.
  4. Body water and its balance — a higher share of water outside the cells shows up as puffiness in the legs or face, and explains weight that moves by a kilo or two in a day.
  5. Segmental analysis — muscle and fat for each arm, each leg and the trunk, so left-right differences become visible.
  6. Phase angle — a general marker of cell condition that the InBody 970 reports.

One sheet is a snapshot. The value of the test comes from repeating it under the same conditions and comparing.

What we do with them

At our clinic the InBody 970 is measured during the visit, not as a stand-alone service. The doctor reads it together with pulse diagnosis, an EEG-based stress measurement and, where useful, a 3D facial analysis.

  1. For weight management (LIMDiet) — we check whether weight is fat, water or muscle before setting a target, and repeat the test to confirm that fat is coming off while muscle stays.
  2. For fatigue — low muscle and poor water balance often sit behind tiredness that rest does not fix.
  3. For swelling — the water numbers show whether puffiness is the main issue.

Herbal medicine is prescribed in 15-day units, and the measurements are repeated at review so the next prescription follows the change.

How to prepare

  1. Avoid a heavy meal for two to three hours before.
  2. Use the bathroom first.
  3. Do not exercise or use a sauna just before the test.
  4. Wear light clothing; you will stand barefoot on the device for about a minute.
  5. Tell us if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device, or if you are pregnant.

How long it takes

The measurement itself takes about a minute and is part of roughly 15 minutes of measurements on a first visit. Your first visit takes about 60–90 minutes, including consultation, assessment and treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Q. Can I come only for an InBody test?

At our clinic the InBody 970 is part of a consultation with the doctor, so it is done within a visit. For a printout alone, a public health center or a gym is the simpler route.

Q. Will the results be explained in English?

Yes. The doctor goes through the sheet with you in English, and you receive a written report in English.

Q. How often should I repeat it?

During a weight programme we repeat it at each review. Comparing under the same conditions, at a similar time of day, makes the change readable.

Q. Is the test safe?

It uses a very small electrical current that you do not feel. People with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device should tell us beforehand.

Q. How do I book?

Message +82-10-7925-6248 on WhatsApp. We reply in English with available appointments.
